Granite Beach to South Cape Rivulet Track Gallery
The mud begins when you reach your first flatter section of the climb
And keeps on going!
And going with slippery tree roots adding extra interest
In some places the mud is very boggy and you can easily sink to your knees if not careful
Fallen trees and creeks across the track... but at least it's not mud!
In some places the erosion is bad
Did we mention slippery tree roots?
And yes, more fallen timber!
But really it wasn’t too bad - and not unexpected in wilderness Tasmania. It is, after all, about expectations. Expect it to be wet, muddy, and slow… but you can enjoy the views and wilderness.
